SUPERSTARS TRIBUTE LIVE headliners, Victoria Boland and Andrew Rudd, appeared as Patsy Cline, Shania Twain, Buddy Holly and Neil Diamond for an audience of close to 200 people at the Friendship Center, St. Mary's Ontario, on August 12, 2008.
The audience was comprised of both young and old. The young had come out to see contemporary superstars like Shania Twain. The elderly were there to relive the classic hits of Patsy Cline and Buddy Holly, and everyone got what they wanted and more! As Anita Dahl, the organizer of the event stated later:
"This was awesome! You said it would be good but it's even better than I ever anticipated!"
Anita and her dad got up and danced during one of Patsy's numbers and the crowd applauded enthusiastically after each song. The audience was also treated to a surprise character when Andrew gave them some Neil Diamond to bring the event to a rousing close. You can see photos from this evening HERE.
As the evening closed, the audience were stunned to learn that all 4 characters were performed by only 2 people, Victoria and Andrew and they sent up an extra round of applause for the talented duo, who later had a meet and greet as the audience departed. All up, it was a wonderful night for the townspeople of St. Mary's and Andrew and Victoria were well-rewarded by their enthusiastic and warm response to this "mini Superstars Tribute Live".
